The Roman Revival of 1282
1282罗马复兴 · The Roman Revival of 1282
On the morning of May 29, 1453 Constantinople, the ancient heart of the Ottoman Empire, fell amidst a relentless siege. With the fall of this fortified city, the crescent flag of the Ottoman Empire was raised within its walls, marking the end of the crescent-shaped empire that had been clinging to life. A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, and Constantine XI was unexpectedly reborn in the Eastern Roman Empire in 1282. By chance, he replaced the future incompetent Emperor Andronicus II as the crown prince of the empire. Constantine Palaiologos, who succeeded to the throne as Emperor, once again bore the title of Constantine XI. At this crossroads that will determine the fate of the empire, can it avoid destruction and embark on a path of revival?
