The story begins as our female lead wakes up in a strange room and an unfamiliar body. She realizes that she has travelled back in time and her twenty-two year old spirit is now trapped in the body of a six year old girl. This girl child is the third daughter of Ning Guo’s Prime Minister Li and his seventh wife. Her name is Li Qing Luo and because her mother was originally from an entertainment house, Prime Minister Li and his other six wives treated them badly. Her first day in that world, the whole family gathers to test the talent of the three daughters. Qing Lei, the eldest, is talented at playing the zither while Qing Fei’s calligraphy is incomparable. Everyone anticipates A’Luo’s failure as she had not exhibited any talent before, but that six year old child recites a famous Tang poem. The entire family is surprised that Qing Luo is able to write such a profound poem and her mother later tells her that Prime Minister Li is so harsh on his daughters because he needs to rely on them marrying well to secure his future. Qing Luo begins to study qin, qi, shu, hua (zither, chess, calligraphy, and painting) but hides her skill because she does not want to be sold in marriage to some prince or court official. Six years later, A’Luo is now twelve and leaves the estate for the first time to participate at a flower viewing banquet. This is a special banquet because the Five Most Eligible Bachlors of Feng Cheng will be in attendance (there’s actually a more elegant name for them). These young men are: Crown Prince Liu Jian, Fourth Prince Liu Fei, the young An Qing Wang Liu Jue, the son of Prime Minister Gu Gu Tian Xiang, and the top scorer of the Imperial Examinations Cheng Si Yue. A’Luo sneaks off and almost falls into a river, but is saved by a handsome young man. Because he glanced at her bare legs a moment too long, A’Luo calls him a pe*vert, tries to push him into the river and runs off. The young man only laughs and vows to find her again.

The Shao and Cheng families have been sworn enemies for generations, though few outsiders know the exact details of their feud. What is known to all is the Shao family’s three cardinal rules: The Shao family must not cooperate with the Chengs, must not intermarry with the Chengs, and must never appear with the Chengs at any public event. One day, an adorable little girl looking like a doll, wearing a puffy pink dress, pink hair clip, and pink backpack, walked into the lobby on the first floor of the Shao Group building. The receptionist thought she was some child who had wandered away from home. But the little girl solemnly said, “I want to see your Shao Group CEO, Shao Chengze.” Seeing the girl’s pink outfit, the receptionist knew she must be from a wealthy and noble family to dare to address their CEO by his full name. She couldn’t be the daughter of some high-ranking Shao Group executive? Smiling warmly, she asked, “Little one, could you tell me your parents’ names?” The girl tilted her head. “My mommy is Cheng Jinlan.” Cheng…Jinlan?! Second Miss Cheng Jinlan of the Cheng family?! She never thought she’d see the day a Cheng would set foot in the Shao Group building. What a miracle! “As for my dad, I’ve come today to get some of Shao Chengze’s hair for a DNA test. Once I have his hair, I’ll know if he’s my dad or not.” The girl’s crisp words rippled outwards from the front desk through the bustling first floor lobby. Everyone who heard froze in shock, jaws dropping. Everyone except Shao Chengze, who had just stepped out of the elevator surrounded by a group. He looked at the girl in pink through narrowed, fox-like eyes. Cheng Liqi recognized Shao Chengze and covered her mouth in an “ah-oh”. She decided that even if Shao Chengze wasn’t her dad, she’d have to help Cheng Jinlan get this man. She liked his eyes. They were just like hers. So pretty.

Couven Wyeth was an artist despised by many because he was an alpha. At the duke’s residence, where he was asked to paint a portrait, he met the extraordinary ducal lady, ‘Vessia Quixote’. “…You there. You’re an alpha?” “Yes, I’m an alpha.” Couven’s life was ordinary and run-of-the-mill. Even the persecution he received as an alpha was nothing special. “I see…” That was, until he met Vessia. The noble lady acted as though she hadn’t heard what the artist just said. ‘Really, is this alright?’ It was because of her that Couven’s life turned completely and thoroughly upside-down.

I had possessed the body of the pretty bottom in a 19+ BL novel. “I like you.” Where the male lead turned villainous, threatening to bring about the end of the world. A hopeless place. “I’m serious.” To prevent him from going mad, I tried to differ from the original story. In the original story, his craziness stemmed from the pretty bottom’s complete disregard for him. So, I confessed first. Expecting to be rejected. “I have someone else I like.” “Yeah, I know.” In the original story, his confession was brutally trampled upon by me, leading to him turning into a villain. “I’m a guy too. And so are you.” “I know that. I just wanted to say it.” I was relieved knowing he would reject me. “Can we still be friends?” He frowned and then sighed before answering. “Huh.” I smiled wistfully in relief. Because I was turned down. “This is my fiance.” “What do you mean engagement between men?” When he questioned me in confusion, I cheerfully responded. “Actually, I’m a woman.” I assumed it would be okay since he had rejected me countless times before. “What?” The moment I saw the surprise in his eyes, I realized something was terribly wrong. The vivid madness flickering in his gaze was something I had never seen before.
I am an inferior O, but my pheromone compatibility with the big shots in the Hong Kong circle is extremely high. He kept me by his side for eight years, helping me repair my damaged glands, but due to a single sentence from his marriage partner, he unceremoniously drove me away. He pressed on my glands and warned me, ‘Put away those despicable thoughts.’ However, after I died and escaped, he turned the city upside down. In the end, he stood in the stairwell of my rental apartment, blocking my escape: ‘With a 98% compatibility, are you sure you can get away?’

Having finally reincarnated, I refused to let my life end so pathetically. So, from a young age, I ran until my feet ached. I used my background as an orphan raised by the temple to build close relationships with the soon-to-be paladin male leads. I also sought out the female lead, who was meant to grow up struggling in the back alleys, and ensured her path was paved with roses. Time passed, and the day of my supposed demise finally arrived. Before the entire empire, the glorious heroes who saved the nation, those incredibly sexy and virile male leads, confessed their love not to the princess, but to me. …I honestly just wanted to avoid a brutal death, but everyone—the male leads, the female lead, their families, even this world itself—seems determined to hold me back.
